HIRING: CAMPAIGN MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, manage, and execute field, fundraising, communications, and political campaign strategy across all aspects of campaign in collaboration the candidate and your supporting team

  • Oversee day-to-day campaign operations including managing the candidate’s calendar, endorsement tracking, and fundraising efforts.

  • Manage staff and consultants; facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams

  • Manage campaign budget, fundraising plan, and cash flow projections

  • Represent the campaign to stakeholders including party leaders, labor, elected officials, and donors

  • Collaborate with team to develop and execute an effective communications strategy across paid, earned, and social media

  • Staff candidate for meetings and events as needed

QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):

  • 1 or more cycles of campaign experience on a competitive local, state legislative, or federal race or equivalent, with an emphasis on experience managing data, competing priorities, finite resources, and staff/interns/volunteers

  • Superior project management skills and ability to coordinate workflows across multiple teams 

  • Exceptional organizational ability and attention to detail, ability to maintain consistency in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment

  • Tested people management skills and desire to build and lead a top-tier team

  • Commitment to professional ethics and fostering a positive campaign culture

QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED):

  • Familiarity with North & Northeast Portland. Experience building/managing a budget or with accounting/cash flow management

  • Additional experience in either campaign finance, field, or communications

  • Proficiency with NGP, VAN, and other relevant Democratic campaign tools

  • Familiarity with, or previous experience, working in politics

This position is initially part-time (25 hours/week) and ideally reverts to full-time in August. Based in - or will require - regular travel to Portland, District 2.

The salary for this position is up to $3,500 per month (PT) and up to $5,500 per month - full time - (commensurate with experience). Plus a $500/month health care stipend with FT employment.
